Hotel Firdaous
On the west coast of Morocco there is a strange hotel that has been frozen in time.
Hotel Firdaous has been hiding away facing the Atlantic Ocean nestled under the sandstone cliff face for over 50 years. It was built in the 1970’s to cater for the holiday needs of the minor nobility and military elites. This is not a theme park dressed up for instragram influencers. All the architecture, furniture and fittings of this hotel are genuine, they have not changed since they were originally made in the 70’s. Wandering the halls and rooms of the hotel .....each area it seems was designed by a different individual. Colours and styles mix with abandon to create an experience of constant discovery. It’s as if Lewis Carol was the design consultant.
