Perth Hotels

The Intercontinental Hotel Perth approached Linton and Kay Galleries in Subiaco to provide original artworks that represented the WA landscape for their five star hotel refurbishment in Perth.

Claire Beausein submitted sketches of her ideas and was selected to make four large original artworks. Claire made two relief sculptures, each measuring 140 by 450cm for two meeting rooms, and two 3D paper pieces measuring 60 by 650cm, and 157 by 60cm which are both featured in the main meeting room lounge area.
Claire was subsequently approached to submit images of works that could be translated into sandstone for the new luxury Westin Hotel, also in the Perth CBD. ‘Driftwood’ was purchased by the hotel for display in their “presidential suite” and was also translated into sandstone for the lift lobby. ‘Ningaloo III’ was selected and translated into sandstone as the main feature in the bar area.

I travelled to Perth to photograph these two installations. They were all shot with available light with the Nikon D850 with the 19mm PCE f4 tilt shift lens and 14-24mm f2.8. All manipulation done in ACR and Photoshop.
